How to get an eSIM in Ireland by network
Lyca Mobile (Prepay)
Supports eSIM on prepay. You can obtain the eSIM instantly online.
eir (Prepay)
Supports eSIM on prepay. For new accounts, eSIM must be obtained in the eir shop.
Vodafone (Prepay)
Supports eSIM on prepay. You can convert a physical SIM to eSIM online. You can also get a prepay eSIM online if you port your number to Vodafone. A brand-new number eSIM is not available online.
Three (Prepay)
Supports eSIM on prepay.
GoMo (Contract)
eSIM is supported on GoMo monthly bill pay contracts and can be obtained online.
Lidl Connect (Rolling monthly)
Available from 5 October 2026. Select and activate an eSIM through the Lidl Plus app on a compatible phone. You need an active Lidl Plus account and a credit or debit card registered in Lidl Pay. eSIM contract limits and excluded networks
Sky Mobile supports eSIM, but has a minimum 12-month contract, so it is not listed as an option on this site focused on prepay and monthly contracts.
Virgin Media, Tesco Mobile, An Post Mobile, 48 and Clear Mobile were listed without eSIM support at the last review.
